Maintenance Fitter Location: Skelmersdale Duration: Permanent Hours: 4on - 4off, Days Salary: £32K per annum Kinetic are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Fitter to join a well-established and large UK manufacturer based near Skelmersdale. The successful applicant will be a member of a multi-functional Engineering/TPM team aiming to achieve key targets within the departmental environment, thereby helping to deliver Cost, Quality and Efficiency benefits to the factory. THE ROLE The role of Maintenance Fitter will consist of the following tasks and duties: *Monitoring & supplying Engineering support of machine set-up & changeovers to ensure that the product conforms to any quality assurance standards and ensuring changeovers are as efficient as possible. *Daily liaison with the duty Production Manager/Engineering Manager to ensure that all production maintenance requirements are undertaken. *Promoting the development and implementation of the factory PPM system. *Designing, fabrication and machining of parts and structures to service the needs of the business. *Applying rigorous application of TPM Tools & Techniques to generate Continuous Improvement throughout all areas of the factory. *Applying the 5S principles to deliver world-class standards of housekeeping. *Constantly adapting to the continuous improvements that are made in the factory. THE CANDIDATE To be considered for the role of Maintenance Fitter you will need the following: Essential Qualifications & Experience: *Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship & Qualification. *Flexible & self-motivated working attitude. *Numerate & Literate. *Team working attitude. *Pneumatics, hydraulics and basic machinery and bench fitting. *High degree of Health & Safety awareness. *Ability to fault find, repair and provide solutions to problems. *Experience of working in a TPM or similar environment. *Experience of a modern automated manufacturing environment. *Basic Electrical skills/qualifications *Computer literate.
