Insurance Account Handler - Manchester
Manchester based Insurance Account Handler role paying up to £30,000 for the right candidate.
This Commercial Insurance role is supporting an Account Executive in the day to day running of the client portfolio, including setting up all appropriate actions required for insurance contract renewals. You will be the first point of contact for all client and insurer queries as they arise and will therefore need strong insurance experience in dealing with commercial risks.
Develop, maintain and cultivate constructive relationships with clients and insurers to make sure your insurance portfolio runs smoothly.
Be the first point of contact for day to day enquiries from internal and external sources
Co-ordinate administration of insurance schemes including invoicing and claims data
Support new business tenders for insurance schemes as required and pro-actively manage the renewals program for existing business.
Periodically attend client and insurer meetings with the Account Executive and proactively drive own development by seeking to improve & demonstrate technical & industry knowledge, including study for industry accredited examinations supported by the business.
Be prepared to work outside contracted hours if workloads & business requirements necessitate
Pro-actively seek, recommend improvements to processes and service, participate fully in the implementation within the team and be an advocate for change.
Our client is looking for a candidate ideally with at least two years experience in dealing with SME insurance risks. The role will also deputise for the Insurance Team Leader as required in the day to day running of the team so some experience of managing an insurance team would be desired.
