Our Credit Risk department is a key function within the Society providing analysis and insight to manage risk and identify business opportunities, helping to shape the Societies proposition and plans.

As such, it is vital that we have driven, analytical and curious individuals working across the various teams within the department.

This vacancy sits within our newly formed Forecasting team and is a brilliant opportunity to help shape the future of the Society, with plenty of exposure to the executive team.

Main responsibilities
As a Senior Analyst or Analyst, you will take responsibility for supporting and delivering analysis and insight to enable the management and understanding of credit risk within the Society.

You will contribute to or lead the production of analysis and reports using SAS/SQL and Excel, interpreting complex technical information and data to facilitate commercial decisions.

Strong relationships will be developed across the Credit Risk team and with key business stakeholders.

You will manage your own work, while working in a team environment, and the opportunity is perfect for a highly motivated individual who takes ownership of tasks and demonstrates energy and commitment to get things done.
Ideal candidate
You will ideally:

* Have experience within an analytical role and have a keen eye for detail.
* Possess excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to explain complex technical information to non-technical users.
* Be confident presenting findings to senior stakeholders.
* Have SAS/SQL and Excel data manipulation skills with experience of creating structured, documented processes that are easy to follow and flexible to future developments.
* Have a flexible approach to getting work over the line within timescales.
* Be highly numerate, with natural technical and analytical problem solving skills.
* Be able to provide coaching and support to other analysts within the team
* Work autonomously, defining own analysis and managing workloads to deliver all objectives.
* Have an awareness of the external credit risk environment and wider business objectives
* Demonstrate leadership attributes
