A specialist school primary in Peckham which caters to pupils aged from 4-11 that have ASC, developmental delay, speech and language difficulties or other complexed needs, are currently looking for a highly capable and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant. This role will help endorse high expectations and lifelong learning skills for the children. Current teaching strategies include, TEACCH, PECS, Music and Rebound Therapy. This is an opportunity to work in a school that is rated a 'Good' with OFSTED, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, it has great facilities which include individual workstations, interactive sensory rooms and soft play rooms. In addition, the school to renowned for its high provisions in art and has been awarded an 'Arts Mark' award for music, art, drama and dance. About You: To be able to carry out the role successfully, you will need to have previous experience working in SEN Environment as a Teaching Assistant/ TA. You also need to be passionate about education, patient, positive, supportive and ideally creative with the ability to translate these characteristics into a classroom setting. Dependant on the Job, it would be great if you held or are working towards one of the following qualifications... * Teaching assistant level 2 or 3 * Level 3 in childcare * HLTA certificate About the Job: As a Teaching Assistant/ TA you will enjoy working in a forward-thinking environment that specialise in helping children with SEN/SEND. You will need to be adaptable and the ability to work in a sometimes challenging environment is essential. Duties include: * At the direction of the SEN/SEND Class teacher, be able to help organise classroom activities. * Promote inclusion, establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to their individual needs. * Under the guidance of the Class teacher, to work with individuals and groups of pupils in class, to help them to achieve their potential. * Ensure the physical welfare of pupils and assist pupils with their physical needs as appropriate and agreed About Us: By working with CER you will have access to flexible payroll options, meaning you get a chance to take more of your pay home, this job has a pay rate between £60.00 - 80.00 per day, dependent on experience.
