A leading business based in Wokingham is looking to recruit an Operations Manager to join their team.

The purpose of the role is to plan, manage and co-ordinate the day to day activities of UK operations department with a wider scope to include activities in the Northern HUB and support the Operations Director with key European Initiatives / projects, to guide, advise and implement effective and efficient operational process / procedure.

You should be aware of and influence operational KPI’s ensuring that reporting is accurate and timely so as to influence business decision making. To influence and manage the operational cost base and ensure that resources are aligned to business and customer need. To ensure that product / portfolio data is communicated, updated / current and incorporated into trainer development plans and to build effective communication channels both within the department and the wider organisation.

Key role objectives:

  1. To work with and alongside the OD to ensure that all operational KPI’s are managed, reported and ultimately exceeded

  2. To ensure all delivery and or response to is carried out in a timely fashion, in budget and to the required quality standards.

  3. To be a point of escalation and or the decision maker in day to day operation activity and to be both a bridge to and buffer for the Operations Director.

  4. To ensure that the UK / Northern HUB portfolio is in line with business expectation and ensure this is accommodated within development plans and reflected in our external marketing.

  5. To manage a diverse set of individuals (and activities) ensuring that performance is in line with business expectation.

  6. To conduct the weekly activity and ensure actions are communicated and implemented.

  7. To support the Operations Director on business related projects and change programmes.

Whilst the Operations director retains ultimate responsibility for business performance and strategy, the Operations manager will be expected to assist in the following activities / areas of responsibility:

  1. Weekly management and communication

  2. Management of the trainer pool including development and welfare

  3. Enterprise and public schedule management (not production of the schedule as this sits outside of this domain

  4. Facilities and facilities management.

  5. Process review and enhancement

  6. A point of contact for business escalation and a conduit for the implementation of effective solutions.

  7. Management and reporting of Internal SLA’s and overall quality of service

  8. To be an ambassador for change and help maintain a can do culture within the wider operations team, leading by example with passion and enthusiasm.

  9. To ensure that the Operations Director is aware of any business impactful issues and advise on potential solutions.

  10. Support the implementation of a Northern HUB operational business and to support key projects that helps shape / define European and Global business practice.

Salary up to £45k + benefits.
