Assistant Management Accountant
We are working exclusively with a large national distribution business, who are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Management Accountant for a minimum 12 month maternity cover. You will be responsible for the management accounts and business partnering multiple depots, based at the site at Scunthorpe.
Reporting to the Regional Management Accountant you will be responsible for the monthly management accounts for your depot portfolio including P&L preparation, variance analysis, cost analysis, weekly flash reporting, and cashflow forecasting.
The work will include understanding key drivers and KPI's, business review and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, monitoring aged debt, reviewing and improving process and various adhoc projects.
Experience of working within a distribution/ logistics business would be an advantage as the role will see you heavily involved in this part of the business. You will ideally be studying later stages, finalist or newly qualified CIMA or ACCA and have relevant experience.
You will have strong management accounting and business partnering skills as well as exceptional commercial acumen. You will also be a confident communicator as this role will see you very much involved in presenting and working with operational staff.
