The school provides specialist education and care for secondary aged boys all of whom have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder ASD. They offer excellent working conditions in a beautiful environment, including paid school holidays, opportunities for career development and staff training.

Pay scale: NHS Band 6 or 7 depending on experience
The successful candidate will be a member of the RCSLT and HPC.

This role is part of a multi-disciplinary staff team working with boys with ASC aged 11-19 years. The school has an integrated approach to the delivery of therapeutic interventions during the school day and during residential time out of school hours. The role includes responsibility for a small caseload as well as an advisory component to staff and parents. Opportunities for small scale research are available in discussion with the Leadership team.

You will be joining a growing department which is developing and delivering innovative approaches to improving the communication skills of their students.

The successful candidate will be required to:

• Carry out formal and informal assessments of the boys
• Liaise with staff and parents
• Attend care meetings
• Work with individual boys
• Support therapists with group interventions
• Complete additional responsibilities depending on the needs of the school
