An Exciting opportunity has arisen within the Scottish Blood Transfusion Service for our role of Associate Director of Quality & Regulatory Compliance, based within our brand new and state of the art manufacturing facility in Edinburgh (Jack Copland Centre).The Scottish Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS) is the specialist provider of transfusion medicine for Scotland. The Associate Director of Quality & Regulatory Compliance will be responsible for the provision of highly specialised services to meet the emergency and elective needs of patients in Scotland.This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to drive service excellence through the quality management team and provide strategic direction, leadership and operational management for our Quality Management System.The Quality and Regulatory Compliance Directorate is responsible and accountable for the strategic direction and operational management of the Quality Management System to ensure supplies of safe, high quality Pharmaceutical, Blood, Tissues and Cellular Therapy products for NHS Scotland and in full compliance with statutory, regulatory and accreditation requirements and provides regular reports on SNBTS quality performance, so that there is effective managerial review of the Quality System and to provide information and advice on where quality improvement is necessary or desirable.The successful candidate will be expected to influence and drive the Quality Management outputs from all SNBTS Departments at all locations in Scotland. You will be expected to liaise with stakeholders to improve practice and service delivery, produce reports and key papers, including on-going strategies, for publication and presentation at a local, national, UK wide and international level and manage the resources associated with this. As a member of the Senior Management Group you will fully contribute and participate in the strategic direction of SNBTS initiatives that continually improve research, development and innovations that are core activities within SNBTS to ensure that the people of Scotland, our patients are receiving the most up to date and effective products and treatment.The post holder will take a lead role in managing and coordinating corporate processes and functions at the Raigmore Hospital, Inverness site. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Disclosure Scotland check. Any candidate who has worked overseas for more than 3 months will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.
Assessment centre will be held on Thursday 25th January and successful candidates will be invited to final panel interview Friday 9th February.
