In-house Lawyer (Temporary/Contract/Flexible/Work from home)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to provide support to our forward thinking, high growth and ambitious company based in Colchester, Essex to provide a flexible legal resource in the capacity of In-House Lawyer/Commercial Contract Lawyer.

This role will predominantly provide legal support to the Sales function in the business and potentially other commercial legal matters that may arise for example input into any issue/problem management and dispute resolution. Key relationships will be with the senior management team within the business along with external businesses specifically in relation to contract matters.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of dealing with commercial contracts and agreements, including the drafting, reviewing and advising on new and existing agreements. Whilst previous in-house experience is not essential, we are looking for an individual with approximately 2 to 3 years PQE from a contract/commercial legal background.

You will be self-managing and able to produce results with limited direction and in a timely manner. You should have excellent communication skills both verbally and written with a high level of attention to detail at all times. You will have a good commercial understanding and be adept at interpreting the law in a way that supports and compliments the organisations goals.

At this stage we are looking to hear from qualified candidates with experience who are looking for part time hours (potentially up to 40 hours per month, with flexibility to do more if required). The role could be worked remotely from home with occasional visits to the office (once per month). It may suit a freelancer or self-employed contractor, although employee status may be a consideration if agreeable to both parties.

Salary negotiable depending on experience.
