Nurse Practitioner Sexual Assault / Police Custody
You will be a key member of the ARCHWAY team and ensure the highest standard of personalised assessment, treatment, care and support is delivered to clients aged 13yrs and above following rape / sexual assault. This will include assisting at forensic examination, maintaining a forensically secure environment and implementing evidence based standards, guidelines and policies. You will be based in Police Custody Healthcare Hub when on shift and provide a collaborative clinical service to individuals detained by the police in custody cells. You will be required to attend the Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) within the agreed timeframe to facilitate forensic examination of client when required. The role requires applicants who can demonstrate substantial experience and (with evidence) of skills in either of the following areas: Custodial settings / Minor Injuries Unit / Accident and Emergency / Sexual Health Or Treatment Rooms. It is essential you are a Registered Nurse with Significant post-registration experience of using specialist assessment skills and techniques to determine health and care needs, particularly when working with clients/patients who may, for example, have mental health issues, learning disabilities, language barriers, be under the influence of illicit substances, have chaotic lifestyles. A current Driving Licence is required for this post. We have both full time (37.50 hours) and a part time (24.00 hours) post available.
