Mobile App Developer (Android)

Location: Uxbridge, Middlesex, UB8
Salary: Market Rate
Contract: Contract
Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm

Our client is a dynamic and rapidly expanding healthcare consultancy based in Uxbridge, with over 2,800 happy clients nationwide. We work with healthcare providers to support the improvement of healthcare standards.

Responsibilities:

  • To develop and deliver state of the art Android apps
  • To maintain mobile applications by addressing bug fixes reported by the customer care team
  • Carry out proactive testing to make improvements to apps where necessary
  • Demonstrate new features to internal staff before release
  • Contribute effectively throughout the entire development life cycle

What we’re looking for:

  • A minimum of 3 years industry experience developing mobile applications for the Android OS (mobile and tablet)
  • Must have live applications on Google Play
  • Experience of working with UX/UI designer and demonstrates a strong understanding of the implementation and testing cycle
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding and experience of working with Android SDK and Java
  • Experience in version control systems, ideally BitBucket
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Demonstrate a high level of problem solving skills
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills and confident when dealing with internal customers including the offshore team and external customers
  • Demonstrates experience of working as part of small to medium sized development team
  • Demonstrates a high level of organisation skills to assist with planning and prioritising tasks to meet objectives
  • Highly motivated, passionate about technology and the development cycle
  • Has a willingness to learn and explore new initiatives
  • Possess analytical skills
