My client is a world leader in Internet Communications and are looking for a Strategic Partner Manager to help the advance the work of the product teams that are supported in the business.

Global Product Partnerships (GPP)

Global Product Partnerships (GPP) team members initiate, nurture and deepen external third-party relationships to advance the work of the product teams that are strategically supported. The core Product Areas (PA) that currently focus on include Geo/Maps, News & Publishing, Research & Machine Intelligence, as well as Developer Products, Product Infrastructure and Social Impact.

The role: Strategic Partner Manager (SPM)

The partners come in all shapes, sizes, and market caps. The Strategic Partner Manager (SPM) role provides a new and exciting opportunity for anyone who wants to apply and hone business and relationship skills (e.g. partner management, leadership, strategy, and analytics) with top strategic partners across a range of Product Areas and geographies and be exposed to multiple (internal) cross-functional disciplines (e.g. product management, engineering, business development, policy, operations, etc). The Strategic Partner Manager (SPM) anticipates how decisions are made, persistently explores and uncovers the business needs of top strategic partners and understand how initiatives can grow their business and broaden, deepen and strengthen the relationship with them. The Strategic Partner Manager (SPM) consistently evaluates the top strategic partners' satisfaction and anticipates and mitigates any negative changes in it.


*Maintain strong direct relationships with the named GPP EMEA top strategic partners
*Establish the position as the principal and accountable GPP EMEA internal interface to named *GPP EMEA top strategic partners for internal xfn teams and senior stakeholders and collaborate with these xfn teams as necessary and appropriate
*Evangelise new opportunities with existing GPP EMEA top strategic partners, and champion their needs internally ensuring full Product Area stakeholder awareness and understanding
*Develop, implement and maintain mechanisms for proactive, outbound communications to GPP EMEA top strategic partners
*Refine and maintain mechanisms to track all aspects of GPP EMEA top partner relationships within the business and leverage them to enhance and better forecast the relationship
*Play central role in helping GPP EMEA Product Area teams establish and share best practices in partner management and continually improve existing processes and metrics.
*Maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, emerging business trends at the global and regional levels, identify emerging disruptor's in EMEA and ensure stakeholder awareness, as necessary and appropriate
*Support regional GPP Product Area teams as needed

Minimum qualifications / Demonstrable experience:

*BA/BS degree with a minimum of 4 years Professional experience in business development, strategic relationship management or other entrepreneurial environment
*Ability to speak and write fluently and idiomatically in English and to a similar level in at least one other major European language (preferably French or German)

Preferred qualifications / Demonstrable experience:

*MBA or Master's degree
*Excellent communication skills and presentation abilities, including comfort in front of both large and small senior-level audiences
*Experience in managing a portfolio of partners to achieve product objectives, operational efficiency and partner satisfaction
*Strong ability to grasp complex technical and product concepts and a passion for understanding, and driving the success of the products, and the broader ecosystems
*Self-starter with the ability to concurrently manage multiple time-sensitive projects / deals in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction
*Experience analysing and reporting data, with strong spreadsheet, statistical, quantitative modelling and forecasting skills
*Significant experience in using analytical insight and employing thoughtful structures to solve problems and communicate solutions
*Ability to differentiate and work at strategic and tactical level simultaneously
*Ability to remain diplomatic and tactful at all times
*Confident, collaborative, adaptable, self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguous requirements
