Are you looking for a progressive General Ledger Accountant position where you can take ownership of your work and be heavily involved in stakeholder management? Sheridan Maine are currently recruiting for a General Ledger Accountant role paying £22,000 - £28,000, plus extensive benefits including a flexible benefits package, high Pension and flexi time. The position is based in central Bristol.

As the successful General Ledger Accountant, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Revenue accounting, ensuring that all contract and ad hoc income is Invoiced promptly and accurately.
- Provide statutory and other information required by the HMRC and providers of the Pension schemes.
- Support the Accountants with the preparation of the annual financial statements, producing working papers as required on owned and nominated balance sheet control accounts.
- Liaise with Debt Management to ensure recovery of all debts and work with the Cash Management Team to record receipts from debtors.
- Maintain a record of all revenue contracts, working closely with other Departments to ensure that Invoicing is accurate and timely and to ensure strong cash management.
- Liaise with Payroll to help monitor and account for the recovery of salary overpayments.

You will be either Qualified by Experience (QBE) or studying an Accountancy qualification such as AAT CIMA, ACCA or ACA. Further study support will be considered from this company.

Great communication skills and a self starter are key skills for this sought after Assistant Accountant position.
