Accounts Payable Administrator (Part-Time) - Guildford

£23,000 - £25,000 (Full-Time Equivalent)

Our client is looking for an Accounts Payable Administrator to support the Accounts team. 1+ years’ experience in an Accounts/Finance environment is essential. This role is Part-Time up to 25 hours per week.

Key responsibilities:

  • Checking Purchase Orders, coding and entering Supplier Invoices
  • Preparing payment runs for approval, ensuring Suppliers are paid within terms
  • Carrying out bank reconciliations and reconciling Supplier statements
  • Deal with Supplier queries professionally and in a timely manner
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Raising sales invoices
  • Processing foreign invoice/payments and handling exchange rate differences
  • Checking and processing expenses and credit card claims
  • Ensure strong internal control environment
    • Transactions are authorised within delegated limits of authority
    • Balance sheet reconciliations are carried out regularly
    • Intercompany balances are reconciled each month
  • Ad hoc duties as requested by Accounts Payable Team Leader and/or Financial Controller

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in a similar role is desirable and we would anticipate that the successful candidate would have had at least one years’ experience in an Accounts/Finance environment.
  • Extremely accurate, with keen attention to detail
  • Excellent time management, prioritisation of workload to ensure deadlines are met
  • Good communication & IT skills (particularly Excel)
  • Good organisational skills with the flexibility to adapt to various tasks
  • Enthusiastic, reliable and a strong team player
  • Able to cope in high volume environment
