The Stroke Medicine Department at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh has a worldwide reputation for research. In order to coordinate and support the expanding portfolio of research the Stroke Research Group was formed.

We are currently seeking an experienced clinical research nurse to lead and centralise the research activity in the Stroke Unit. This will include team management & organisation screening and recruitment. The post will require the setup initiation screening recruitment and ongoing coordination of staff and trials. In particular this post will be responsible for in-house monitoring of research activity and support to trials going through regulatory process such as a research ethics submissions. We anticipate the post holder will have strong interpersonal communication skills and the flexibility required to work within a changing and developing environment.

We are looking for a highly organised and motivated experienced research nurse with a genuine interest in project coordination to join our team. The post holder will work alongside other research staff in Edinburgh and at other sites and will be hosted supported and line managed by the Emergency Medicine Research Group (EMERGE).

Secondment will be subject to agreement from your Line Manager.
