Lead Admiral Nurse - Hampshire
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our successful and highly-valued Admiral Nurse Service in Hampshire.
In partnership with Dementia UK, we are now looking to appoint a Lead Admiral Nurse to continue to develop our service in the area. This role encompasses clinical leadership and face to face clinical work with families and people with dementia.
Admiral Nurses are mental health nurses who work with and support families and carers of people with dementia. They use a range of interventions to help people live positively with the condition and develop skills to improve communication and maintain relationships. Working collaboratively with other professionals, Admiral Nurses seek to improve the quality of life for people with dementia and their carers.
We are looking for people who have the compassion, focus and desire to become real ambassadors for dementia care. Based at home in Hampshire, you will provide a peripatetic service, visiting people in their homes and community settings.
You will need to hold a Registered Mental Health Nursing qualification, have prior experience of working in dementia care, significant experience of working with older people with mental health needs and their carers, and evidence of recent professional development.
Your professional development will be supported by Dementia UK comprehensive practice development framework in addition to training provided by us.
