They are now looking to appoint a configuration controller to work take responsibility for managing all aspects of the product lifecycle management system as well as contributing to QA functions such as quality management system development.
Ideally you will have experience in configuration control management within the electronics sector with good knowledge of working with PLM systems although strong candidates from other specialisms would also be welcome.

Job Responsibilities

The Configuration Controller will take responsibility for managing all aspects of the product lifecycle management system (PLM system) as well as contributing to QA functions including inspection and quality management system development.

As a key member of our operations team you will:

• Be the custodian of the product lifecycle management system
• Manage and coordinate engineering changes from new requests through to internal and supplier implementation
• Chair the weekly engineering change control meeting
• Be closely involved in defining the configuration of product prior to sale
• Carry out first article inspections / soft proof approvals
• Support the promotion of the ISO9001 quality management system
• Be an active participant in the internal audit program – training provided

The person

To be effective in the above tasks you will need the following essential skills / experience;
• Possess a solid understanding of product lifecycle management / change control
• Experience in configuration control management ideally within electronics
• Have an enthusiasm for accuracy and attention to detail. This is essential to the success of this role
• Be an effective communicator and able to work well within our dynamic professional team
• Have an analytical approach to problem solving
