Finance Manager - Transaction Services

Based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, our client is a well-known, expanding company looking for a Transaction Services Finance Manager to join their team.

This job would suit a qualified accountant who has experience in a multi-site business. The job will involve being accountable for the management, performance & improvement of the Transaction Services teams. The candidate will be responsible for driving continuous improvement, automation and efficiency of processes across all these areas & delivering controlled operations.

The successful individual will be a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACMA or ACCA) with proven management experience leading a sizable team, ideally in a multi-site environment. It is essential the candidate has great attention to detail and is able to work to tight deadlines as well as be self-motivated, able to manage own workload and the ability to manage stakeholders effectively. The ability to drive and implement change would also be advantageous.

Duties will include:

  • Manage the Transaction Services teams and processes ensuring service levels are delivered and that transactions are recorded and posted right first time
  • Maintain policies, procedures and controls and follow up on non-compliance
  • Drive improvement across transaction processes to deliver automation and efficiency in transaction teams, and simplifying processes
  • Ensure insightful & actionable exception reporting produced and distributed on a timely basis across the business to ensure timely resolution of discrepancies and compliance with policy and procedures
  • Manage the company's performance on supplier payments in line with agreed targets for external reporting
  • Ensure accurate and up to date balance sheet reconciliations for areas of responsibility
  • Engage with other functions across the business as appropriate in order to meet the business needs in a controlled & efficient manner
