We are now recruiting for a proactive, driven individual to join our team as an Assistant Portfolio Manager in the Automation & Control category. You will work alongside a Portfolio Manager and a Commercial Manager, reporting in to the Senior Category Manager.
You will be accountable for creating and managing a portfolio strategy on a specific technology. You will be comfortable analysing large online and offline commercial data-sets and external market requirements and be capable of turning this into a market-leading strategy. Day-to-day you will be responsible for selecting the best Brands for the technology, the selection and forecasting of New Product Ranges, managing their lifecycle, and you will also be comfortable communicating your strategy in a formal or informal setting.
You will work with the Commercial Manager to ensure the portfolio meets the needs of the customers and maximises the opportunities available from our suppliers. You will be influential in supplier management including new supplier acquisition and attend supplier meetings.
You will be comfortable communicating with different cultures in our hub network throughout Europe and Asia. The hubs have their own regional customer acquisition strategies so you will gather insight on customer expectations and blend this into your overall strategy.
You will collaborate with many internal stakeholders covering topics like Inventory, Forecasting, Pricing, Marketing, and Digital Content as well as our Private Label team to expand our successful own-brand, RS Pro to grow customers, online conversion and traffic, maximise profitable growth, ROI and take market share.
