Responsible for: Store Colleagues

Job Purpose

To ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service standards throughout the store. To ensure compliance and drive sales and profitability through the development of Sales Consultants and individual performance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To achieve 100% or above of targets set individually and across the stores as outlined by the Area Manager,
  • To pro-actively contribute to the stores success through innovative ideas and customer focus,
  • To undertake the management of staff competence so as to optimise and sustain sales performance and customer satisfaction,
  • To ensure that all areas of the store and team adhere to compliance requirements in all areas of operational activity, company policies and procedures,
  • To identify underperforming team members and develop a plan to address and manage issues effectively alongside the Area manager,
  • To ensure that the visual presentation of all stores represents the brand image,
  • Responsibility to ensure that all mandatory training is carried out by all team members and to take action where this is deviated from,
  • To take responsibility for all stock and associated assets within the store,
  • To support the delivery of all marketing campaigns,
  • To ensure that all reports, correspondence, and back office functions are carried out to the desired requirements and to a high standard,
  • To seek and continuously develop knowledge of competitor activity and local market conditions,
  • To recruit and ensure the full implementation of induction programmes for new colleagues,
  • To ensure the achievement of Appraisal objectives for the Sales Floor Leader,
  • To create a positive environment that results in stable retention and a reduction of labour turnover.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Needed for the Job

  • Proven track record in sales and customer service
  • Demonstrable and strong business acumen
  • Highly organised with the ability to work in a pressurised environment
  • Ability to train and develop the skill and knowledge of direct reports
  • Previous retail management experience
  • Holds a clean driving licence
  • Motivate performance through effective coaching skills
  • Experience in working within stakeholder parameters and requirements
  • Demonstrate best practice at all times.
