Disrupting the Industry! This ecommerce company, officially still a Start-up are transitioning to the next exciting phase of their development, are busy disrupting their particular industry and are currently winning awards both for the business and individuals within the business.

With your help, they want to continue building an incredible business.

Following recent large investment they are now scaling up to a large tech organisation delivering across multiple scrum teams and channels... using the Squads and Tribes methodology.

To do this they are looking for 2 Lead Engineers (front end/ back end or Full stack) to act as technical lead for Squads of 6.

Currently compromising 2 cross functional squads each with a view to growing this to 4 squads in the next 12 months.

As Lead Engineer you will be providing the Technical leadership and team mentoring along side the Engineering Manager and Architect for the Web Tribe - there are opportunities for line management if YOU would like it but it is not a requisite of this role.

You are:

  • Passionate about delivering secure and performant Quality code
  • A Seasoned Developer who has experience
    • writing RESTful services using PHP (Laravel), JavaScript (Node) or other OO programme languages and/or;
    • writing complex front end web applications in React or other JavaScript frameworks
    • Passionate about engineering practices such as TDD and Pair Programming
  • Experience of mentoring and coaching all levels of Engineer
  • Passionate about Engineering practices such as TDD and Pair programming

Note: You should be able to hit the ground running in PHP/JavaScript BUT the company are committed to changing to either Node or Python - still to be determined but in process!
