As part of the shared commitment between NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and Renfrewshire Council, the Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) has been established since 2015 to provide joint and integrated health and social care services to our local population.

The partnership has over 2,000 staff providing local primary care, community health and social care services to our population of over 174,000 people to ensure highly effective services that contribute to improving health, care and well being and to narrow the inequalities gap across Renfrewshire.

This senior management post represents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the established integrated working arrangements in Renfrewshire HSCP. Working as part of the HSCP senior management team, you will have a pivotal role in leading, coordinating and managing both health and social care services.

You will have operational management responsibility for highly committed health and social care teams operating in diverse and complex situations across health and community care settings.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the lives of people in Renfrewshire continue to be improved through building on the effective outcomes delivered by HSCP.

A key focus of the role will be to take forward local and national social care and health strategies to ensure services continue to improve outcomes for service users in both Renfrewshire community and inpatient settings. You will plan and deliver change in both directly managed and externally commissioned services.

You will have the skills to make the vision for integrated health and social care into a reality. Experience of managing and redesigning services and working in collaboration with staff and with people who use our services is essential.

You will need to demonstrate relevant experience and success as a senior manager in a public service, third or independent sector level. You must also have a strong commitment to integration and understanding of the local and national health and social care agenda.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate experience of working with a range of diverse stakeholders and possess the management, leadership and associated interpersonal skills required to operate effectively in complex and politically sensitive environments.

We are looking for leaders who will be focused on achievement, quality and excellence. Skilled at nurturing an outcome focussed, service user and people based culture, you will have the energy and passion to build relationships and drive continuous improvement across the organisation. You will also have extensive experience in organisational development and change management.

You will have:-
- a track record for dynamic and effective leadership, delivery and performance to manage health and social care services
- proven experience of working as an effective leader within a senior team and be able to maintain highly effective relationships with elected representatives, non-executives, staff and service user representatives, General Practitioners, other senior managers, professional and clinical leaders across the HSCP and in partner organisations.
- a track record of developing simple, smart and effective collaborations that create real joint working with positive outcomes for service users
- personal drive and resilience
- professional integrity, energy and credibility
- proven intelligent strategic and operational thinking, management and delivery
- experience and understanding of working in a politically influenced setting

If you believe you can meet the challenges that this high profile role brings then we would welcome your application.
