OVERVIEW:

The position will bridge business challenges and technology solutions and will work across all divisions and focus within the Human Health Organisation. The incumbent will leverage relationships with the global platform and divisional leads and will assure full compliance with regulatory/company requirements. Working closely with the other architects and solutions delivery team members, the business IT team, and the business users to define, plan, design, build, deploy and communicate various Salesforce and Veeva (all products) solutions (online, offline, mobile; sales, marketing, medical information) and integrations with other solutions that interface with them. This role will work through all phases of solution implementation SDLC including, but not limited to, leading focus groups and workshops to solicit and discuss requirements; experimenting with tools to design and develop solutions; and help deploy the solutions to our field sales teams, marketing groups, medical information professionals, and commercial operations.

This role will also apply Salesforce.com and Veeva expertise to identify and help build the best solutions for our business opportunities utilizing our existing investments. The role will be expected to work with our current toolsets, and also explore other Veeva and SFDC products as needed to meet business requirements. This will also involve working with other teams and tools that are also focused on improved customer insights and measurement, like our web, social, search, campaign management and mobile initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Leadership and ownership of technical design, development and implementation of assigned Salesforce.com and Veeva projects.
* Ensure that the proposed and existing systems are aligned with the organisation`s goals and objectives.
* Manage the development lifecycle to ensure the delivery of highly scalable and secure solutions that are optimised for performance.
* Articulate design considerations, trade-offs, benefits, and recommendations for the technical architecture with scalability and supportability in mind.
* Oversee third-party system integrators where applicable.
* Ownership of relevant technical risks and issues.
* Requirements elicitation for the local market needs, as the starting point for a possible solution
* Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
* Lead change management processes to realize the value of IT innovations / improvements.
* Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyse information needs and functional requirements and deliver the required artefacts.
* Translate business goals and performance requirements into IT business cases.
* Works with local and global IT partners in the initial development and assessment of business solutions all the time alignment with global IT
* Support the local rollout of globally defined solutions/enhancements
* Drive continuous improvement and innovation culture and develop and outside-in view
* Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams
* Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyse trade-offs between usability and performance needs.
* Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
* Work independently with users to define concepts and under direction of project managers

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES:

* Experience in Life Science and pharmaceutical commercial arena would be an advantage
* At least 6 + years experience as an application/solutions architect , minimum 4+ in SFDC/Veeva
* Extensive experience with Configuring and Developing custom objects, layouts, reports, CLM functions in ******************** platform
* Experienced in data analysis and migration of data from legacy systems into SFDC/Veeva
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate concepts and ideas related to assigned projects and customer support
* Well organized, results oriented and eager to tackle difficult problems
* Self-motivated with high degree of initiative and excellent follow-up skills, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work in cross-functional, global teams as well as independently
* Good knowledge and experience with AppExchange products and understanding of when to use them.
* Experience of working on global/multi site Salesforce.com rollouts
* Experience architecting and implementing Salesforce.com org consolidation projects and data migrations
* Advanced (hands on) experience with Salesforce.com configuration and custom development (Apex and VisualForce)
* Should have participated in, and be familiar with, Agile (Scrum) project methodologies
* Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with team members.
* Good understanding of Change Management and Release management processes
* Able to leverage teams / functions to help complete tasks and projects
* Experienced in coordinating work tasks with others for timely completion and to avoid potential setbacks.
* Proven ability to independently solve problems and combine data from multiple sources to determine causes of issues.
* Experienced in working in a matrixed business environment.
