Salary: Competitive salary depending on experience

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8am-4.30pm

Established in 1967, our client is a London-based bullion merchant dealing in Gold, Silver, Platinum, Palladium and Rhodium. In addition to producing its own minted bars in various sizes, They also offer its clients metal account facilities in both allocated and unallocated form. With further divisions for refining, "melt & assay", storage, industrial products, numismatic coins, wedding rings and picture frames, They are the only company in the UK that can rightly claim to be a true all round expert and one-stop-shop for all precious metal needs. The company employs over 60 people and operates primarily out of 30,000 sq. ft. of high security premises near City Airport.

The Bench Jeweller role

This is a unique role with one of the UK's biggest wedding ring manufacturers. They are looking for an experienced jobbing jeweller with some mounting skills to work as a central part of their wedding ring manufacturing department.

This is a varied role working in all aspects of our department. This could be the ideal long term opportunity for a passionate jobber to develop new skills to be an integral part of the development of new wedding ring ranges and products. Able to cover all aspects of bespoke designs and repairs across a varied range of styles of wedding rings.

They are looking for an experienced, self-motivated Bench Jeweller with a passion for jewellery and a meticulous eye for detail. A proven track record of consistently achieving key performance indicators is paramount.

Their workshop is fully equipped with state of the art machinery, including a laser welder. Experience in this would be desirable but not essential as training would be provided.

Working in their manufacturing Head Office they need a real team player who can help across all areas of the manufacturing side and open to learning new skills and experience.

The ideal Bench Jeweller will need the following

  • Passionate about Jewellery
  • You must have experience working in all precious metals.
  • Strong organised work attitude able to work to tight deadlines and at times to deliver quality work at short notice with little or no supervision.
  • Used to working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Highly skilled in working with mixed metals and has good technical skills to join metals to form mix metal ,multi-colour bands as well as the creation of shaped to fit bespoke bands in all metals.
