For a leading brand, we are currently looking for a Senior CRM Operations Manager to lead and manage their CRM operations team. The team is delivering all marketing communications across the company and its different divisions. This is an opportunity where you will be able to make a big impact from day one, leading world class multichannel CRM progrogrammes whilst also being the operational owner for their CRM platform (Above Campaign and also their platform for mobile messaging too.

The Job:

  • Lead the CRM Operations team ( 8 people in this team) and ensure effective end-to-end operational delivery of CRM programmes across email, SMS, push and web messaging
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining key CRM operations tools ensuring the systems can deliver the requirements of internal and external stakeholders
  • To be the subject matter expert in the Campaign Management toolset (Adobe campaign) to promote and leverage the tool to simplify and automate businesses processes to create efficiency
  • Supporting the Head of CRM in setting goals and objectives for the team as well as managing reporting to track engagement and transactional KPI’s
  • Leading the implementation of segmentation models enabling the delivery of more targeted CRM campaigns
  • Acting as a senior CRM lead utilising new technology with the view to migrate campaigns to the product set with the most benefits.
  • Implementing new clients within Adobe Campaign including IP delegation, setting up the infrastructure, data feeds (API), deliverability / throughput monitoring, web applications, control group methodologies and reporting structure
  • Creating and maintain dynamic email content (using JavaScript where needed) including the use of data values for personalisation, dynamic creative and offer variations.
  • To create and maintain engaging messaging, push and SMS content
  • Establish best practices for exceptional email deliverability across multiple IPs and resolve any delivery issues and deliverability across SMS and push.
  • Implement complex content, subject line and segmentation testing within email campaigns
  • Providing a problem solving and ‘point of escalation’ technical support function for resolving issues across all communication channels
  • Perform reporting and detailed analyses of deliverability across brands, programmes, campaigns and segments, providing actionable recommendations for improvement
  • Monitor campaign activity to proactively identify problems, and measure brand performance

Knowledge & Experience

  • Significant experience in CRM operations role, preferably having managed a team
  • Understanding of, and practical experience working with, SMS, web messaging, push and email deliverability
  • Extensive experience using Adobe Campaign to build complex and triggered based programmes including client-side implementation, API integrations etc
  • Experience of Using App mobile messaging tools (e.g. AppBoy, Leanplum etc)
  • Technical/IT background preferred, ideally educated to degree level in Computer Science or similar discipline (or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of relation database concept (e.g. ERD modelling, database integrity etc)
  • Data manipulation, exploration, analysis and data integrity (e.g. RDBMS, XML and Flat Files etc)
  • Good understanding of Internet, Intranet, Extranet, client/server architectures and operating systems and their dependencies and implications
  • Good knowledge and experience coding HTML, JavaScript, SQL, Oracle, CSS, JSON and XML
  • Understanding of SPF, Domain Keys and related deliverability technologies would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of different web API implementations and standards (SOAP, Rest API)
  • Passionate about the customer experience and driving customer success
  • Self-directed and self-motivated with a demonstrated work ethic and ability to perform under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills
