Our online banking customer experience needs to be as positive, personal and customer focused as the experience offered by our branches. You'll make sure that it is. Working with everyone from copywriters and designers to developers and information architects, you'll fully optimise the customer journey in secure banking. You'll plan, develop and implement digital campaigns - aiming to engage our customers wherever they interact with the bank. A source of expert advice, you'll also enable customer-facing colleagues to help customers get more out of our digital services.

It goes without saying that you'll need to be digitally savvy - particularly when it comes to content management systems and on-site optimisation. You must have a solid understanding of user experience and the customer journey, along with an appreciation of how to use data to improve both. But there's more to this role than just technical skills. You'll also need to be an excellent communicator with a genuine interest in new technologies and an eagerness to learn new things.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
Essential

  • Ability to use Content Management Systems

  • Experience of on-site optimisation

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong spelling, grammar and attention to detail

  • A keenness to learn and develop

  • A demonstrable understanding of customer experience/usability/customer journey

  • A demonstrable understanding of utilising data to improve customer journeys

Desirable

  • Experience using a CMS

  • Knowledge of all aspects of digital including but not exhaustive to SEO, UX, Analytics, Digital Marketing

  • Understanding of/interest in new technologies (touchscreen devices, smartphones, games consoles, connected TV, etc)

  • Basic HTML and Java
