Support Engineer Apprentice

A 10-year-old technology business based in Leeds are looking for a Support Engineer Apprentice to join their busy team. They develop, host, sell and support Software for Telco Businesses across Europe and beyond. Full training will be given. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with the desire for or experience of supporting customers, to join a forward looking technology Business with an excellent reputation for support and service.
Job Description
? Maintenance and support of current applications
? Support quality assurance testing and production installations
? Provide technical support to internal consultants working on client projects
? Provide customer support as and when required
? Document all software faults and their resolution
? Update Knowledge base articles.
Person Specification
? A team player capable of working with others to achieve results
? An effective time-manager able to work on multiple projects when required
? Excellent oral and written communications skills
? Disciplined, self-motivated work ethic
? Work within tight deadlines
? Strong technology interest
? Well organized, self-motivated, reliable, independent worker needing limited managerial oversight
? Ability to communicate clearly and thoroughly with staff, management, vendors, and clients
Technical Skills
? Good troubleshooting skills
? Good understanding of Internet Technologies
? Fast learner
Desirable
Experience in any of the following areas would be a distinct advantage:
? Understanding of VoIP technologies
? Understanding of Linux operating system
? End user level Networking skills
