Rate: From £30,400 to £40,400
*Using state-of-the-art facilities, you?ll provide the power behind our vehicles working in our Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering team.
*You'll find the ideal balance between performance and sustainability, while responding to the environmental issues that shape our industry.
*You will be a key part of the Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering Electrification Test team responsible for the development and introduction of new and modified processes and facilities associated with new model introductions and model year changes, working closely with Product Development Engineers, Facility vendors and Tooling Suppliers to ensure that component and whole powertrain systems meet world class quality and efficiency standards.
*As Test Engineer Electrification you will support future Powertrain electrification developments for the complete range of company vehicles.
*You will be responsible for developing our new, technologically advanced power train assembly & test facilities that are currently under design and manufacture to support the company global powertrain initiatives.
*You?ll utilise your knowledge to develop and implement test processes and facilities to deliver the safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
*You?ll provide feasibility statements for Product Development designs to suit manufacturing build requirements and ensure robust process quality planning.
*You?ll also support virtual and physical builds and communicate current issues to relevant teams to ensure all receive maximum exposure and are dealt with effectively to assist, improve, and sustain product quality.
*You?ll also drive continuous improvement by establishing a specific course of action, and appropriately manage time, tasks, budgets and resources to ensure a first-class service to our customer base.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
*You?ll be experienced in specifying, delivering, and launching test cell facilities and in-line test equipment, in particular Motor Dynamometer Test Equipment or the testing of Energy Storage Systems.
*As part of this you?ll need significant experience of facility installation, commissioning, and product launch.
*Ideally, you?ll be educated to Degree level in Manufacturing Systems or a similar engineering discipline (HNC / HND also considered).
*You?ll be proficient with use of PC Systems & Packages including Process Authoring Tools (GPAS) and have experience and an understanding of in-process test equipment, Dyno facilities and ability to analyse and interpret performance data output from those facilities.
*To provide accurate project and status updates you?ll need the ability to create reports, analyse, and interpret statistical data based on various key metrics.
*You?ll be a strong communicator, both written & verbally, and have the confidence to present to stakeholders at all levels.
*With effective leadership skills, you?ll have the ability to coordinate and support groups of people through complex processes in a fast paced and demanding environment.
*You?ll be highly motivated and proactive individual, with the flexibility to travel within UK and overseas to support facility buy offs and company Global Test Facilities for extended periods of time.
