Our client is part of a global organisation which manufactures industrial composite materials for the automotive industry and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Maintenance Engineer (electrical bias).

We are seeking candidates with previous manufacturing maintenance experience to take on a Monday to Friday (days) based role at our client's production facility near Smethwick.

The Role:

Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for the day to day electrical and mechanical maintenance, service and repair of production plant & machinery associated with a busy mixing plant.

Initially the primary function will mainly be reactive maintenance however the successful candidate will be required to design and implement a suitable PPM system.

Full training will be provided however good electrical maintenance expertise is essential.
You will be required to maintain equipment including but not limited to the following;

  • 'Z' Blade Mixing equipment
  • Diaphragm air pumps
  • Extruders
  • Extraction units & vents
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Electrical maintenance, 3 phase, motors, inverters, contactors, relays, switches, control panels, wiring, sensors
  • Gearboxes, pumps

Candidate:

Applicants will have excellent electrical maintenance experience supplemented with good mechanical maintenance skills.

You will have 17th Edition electrical certification and you will be competent in 3 phase electrics, pumps / valves, motors, pneumatics and hydraulics.

Ideally you will have previous experience in working in a heavy industry environment and candidates with experience in maintaining mixing plant will have an advantage. However all applicants will be considered and full training will be given.

You will be hard working, enthusiastic and highly motivated as essentially this will be a maintenance role which you will develop into your own.

(7.30am - 4pm + OT) Flexible
