Our client based in Street, Somerset is looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to join their team.

This role requires a desire to explore new marketing opportunities to drive the business forwards and also to remain current with the latest thinking in marketing for an Omni Channel retail business.

Main Responsibilities:
Brand Management
*Oversee the brand values and brand identity.
*Ensure the continuity of branding throughout all communications.
*Guide the creative team to work within the brand ethos.

Planning, Scheduling & Budgeting
*Prepare the annual strategic plan in line with the objectives given.
*Develop strategic marketing plans based on customer behaviour.
*Work with the team to see how the plans integrate with the work that they produce.
*Working with the brand managers and directors to prepare mailing, promotional and advertising schedules designed to ensure both brands meet their sales budgets.
*Assist the Catalogue manager with the production of catalogues as and when required.
*Manage and optimise the marketing budget across all channels.
*Maximising the Marketing return of investment.
*Consider new marketing opportunities and remaining current with latest development in marketing for an Omni channel retail business.

Implementation of Tactical Plans via TV, Press, Mailings, PR, Social Media, Door Drops, Above the line
*GDPR- working with Data Protection Officer on ensuring the company complies to GDPR
*Database Management.
*Customer and follow up mailings- manage and process the mailing data, schedule all mailings and liaise with mailing houses.
*Prepare plans that tie with overall objectives for the on and off-line PR, TV, Online, Social Media, Above the line, Door Drops, Press.
*Prepare briefs and liaise with and oversee the work of our relevant agencies.
*Website - Develop the current website strategy and merchandising plan to increase the effectiveness of the site.
*Internal Communication - ensure that all the relevant internal staff are aware of marketing activities and ensure you have regular meetings with contact centre.
*Set up and manage source codes to enable accurate performance tracking of adverts and other promotions.
*HCP- work with HCP team in developing the overall HCP strategy and how it fits with the overall objectives and brand.
*Shop/Local activity - work with the shop and local businesses on brand awareness/promotions.

Reciprocal Marketing
*Liaise with our partners regarding reciprocal marketing opportunities and look to develop new relationships with companies with a similar customer profile.
*Work with current 3rd party companies and maintain and ongoing communication plans.
*Liaise with the design team and printers to ensure any inserts to be carried by 3rd parties are produced and delivered in a timely manner.
*Plan, co-ordinate and manage any 3rd party inserts we agree to carry for our partners.
*Work with insert agency on booking arrangements.

Analysis
*Prepare regular results analysis on press, campaigns and recruitment figures.
*Evolve the plans from campaign analysis.
*Work with Marketing & Data Analyst on catalogue, products and campaign analysis.
*Analyse ROI to ensure best use of budgets.

People Management
*Ensure that the team understand the objectives and what role they play within the implementation of the plans.
*Ensure they communicate with each other to ensure an integrated seamless communication plan.
*Maintain regular meetings with the teams to ensure the implementation of the plans.

All the above duties vary depending on the amount of work on the particular day but you are expected to perform consistently during both quiet and busy periods and to manage your time effectively. The duties may change over time as requirements and circumstances change.

Training:

*A thorough induction to the business as a whole.
*Internal training on all aspects related to the role.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential

*Educated to Degree Level in a Marketing or Business-Related Subject
*Established and proven planning skills
*Senior Management experience
*Proven marketing experience
*Well organised, analytical and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously
*Excellent writing skills
*Able to demonstrate effective oral communication skills
*Good understanding of the internet and internet marketing
*Able to demonstrate self-direction and creativity
*Experience of working to deadlines
*Able to analyse data
*Able to use word processing and spreadsheet software
*Full UK driving license

Desirable
*BA (Hons) degree or equivalent in a Marketing Subject.
*Professional qualification in Marketing (CIM)
*2 years agency experience
*Experience of working in a multi-channel retail environment
*Experience of marketing for the 55+ market
*Able to use Fast Stats

Hours and Remuneration

*Hours: 37œ hours per week worked between 8 am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday as agreed in advance.

*Because of the nature of the role we would expect you to take a flexible approach to your hours, working outside normal office hours if required.

*Salary: Guide £35,000-£40,000 per annum - depending on experience and subject to review.
