The Company

The client are a leading provider of cutting tools and applications based solutions to their clients cutting and drilling requirements. They have a well-established distribution network across the UK with exclusive distribution rights to supply their internationally recognised tooling solutions to a number of blue chip and SME clients across the UK. Working across multiple sectors such as; automotive, aerospace, oil and gas and the general sub contract market.

The Role

The role will be focused upon effective account management of existing clients, along with new lead generation in terms of prospecting leads and delivering sales against key objectives and targets.

Given our clients sole distribution agreements, quality products and impressive client portfolio there is an abundance of opportunity for the right individual to drive through additional sales and establish new client opportunities in the Yorkshire area.

The role will be predominantly home based and will consist of servicing existing accounts, developing new client based relationships and generating new business opportunities, selling to the likes of engineering business owners, procurement departments and machine shop managers.

The role will be instrumental in developing business opportunities whilst supporting the managing director in taking control of a number of key accounts.

Requirements

  • Apprentice trained engineer from a machine tool background âEUR" CNC machining
  • In-depth knowledge of CNC machine tools along with cutting technologies and CADCAM methods, perhaps upon CNC lathes, machining centers or specialist drilling, or cutting machinery.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Sales or applications based engineering experience would be an advantage but not necessarily essential

It is a pre-requisite that applicants are confident in listening to client's requirements and providing a consultative approach in recommending engineering applications based solutions to their machining and cutting requirements.

  • Strong IT skills capable of using Microsoft packages such as outlook, excel and word
  • Full UK driving Licence
