An established and successful business within the construction industry is looking to recruit an experienced Plant Manager to join their team. You will can watch over and organize the daily operations of manufacturing plants and similar places. You were oversea employees, production and efficiency, to make sure the plant is running smoothly, quickly, efficiently and safely.
·Strategic asset purchasing and hiring
·Management of the mechanical and non-mechanical teams
·Managing supply chain
·Ensuring all teams have correct equipment to carry out their roles i.e. Replacements, Connections, Deferrals
·Responsible for the upkeep and certification of assets as per time schedule
·To prioritise and manage all mechanical breakdowns
·Recruitment for departmental staff when needed
·Keep track and location of all owed and hired plant and equipment
·Ensure plant is available for all weekend training courses
·Reporting to Senior Management.
·Making sure all teams are audited and equipment on site is tested on a regular basis and all reports acted upon accordingly
·Authorise all costs and hire of any equipment, plant, plant repairs and calibrations.
·Planning and coordination with operating and management staff
What skills are we looking for:
·Previous experience in relevant field of unity (Especially Gas)
·Have a mechanical understanding and a good understanding of machinery
·Hard working and self-motivated
·Excellent time management
·Able to work to deadlines
·Must be computer literate in all packages i.e. work, excel
·Must be a decision maker, clear thinking, technically organised.
·Previous experience of overseeing/Running busy workshops
·A good knowledge and understanding of mechanical equipment
