Lead Agile Developer progress to TA

London or Reading

GBP 70 to GBP 75k (remote working)

Flexible hours and remote working is offered as part of this role.

My client is looking for good technically sound developers who have led small teams on projects and who are looking to progress to Technical Architect level.

You will get involved in some architecture work but not exclusively and being go to source of knowledge as well being able to help out in the team and being hands on as required. Really good for aspiring TAs.

Position Description:

Be part of something exciting. My client is one of the big five IT and business process firms in the world, and they`re currently growing their digital team of agile specialists, building and delivering user centred services and solutions in partnership with their clients based in across the UK.
As part of this expansion they want to grow their team of outstanding Technical Architects to help the business build and run great digital services for their clients.
The roles will ideally be based from their London or Reading digital hub offices. Their clients have sites across the UK so some (fully expensed) travel may be required from time to time.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
As an Agile Development Team Leader you will be responsible for the development of end-to-end solution designs, incorporating all elements of architecture. You will also ensure that all applications and services used within a business solution work together seamlessly to deliver business benefits. You will provide hands-on technical leadership, in the development, operation and ongoing improvement of complex, transformational digital services serving millions of users. You`ll be expected to work with our clients to understand user needs and make recommendations regarding technical (including cloud) options to meet business challenges and opportunities.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

You will have a strong track record of building and running high volume, reliable and flexible services that are user focused and continually improved through iterative development. You should ideally have experience in development of transformational digital services alongside current services and legacy systems and/or rapid development of very high-volume ?greenfield? services. You will need a balance of technical expertise, gained through current, hands-on involvement in developing real-world systems, and excellent interpersonal skills to quickly develop strong working relationships in high-pressure environments.
You should possess an in-depth knowledge of business applications, technology stacks and development practices. Knowledge and experience of DevOps is a positive advantage in the role as is an understanding and implementation of, digital transformation and Cloud technologies. As an Architect experience/knowledge of service oriented architectures cloud computing environments Agile methodologies, cost estimation and modelling are also essential.
You will need to demonstrate strong communication skills to be able to work as an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will need to be able to summarise complex ideas into simple terms and express these to both a non-technical and technical audiences as appropriate. You will need to have experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams made up of internal and external stakeholders.

This role has SC clearance as mandatory due to the nature of the work.
