An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and motivated individual to join Central Team eBusiness Services, which is a small specialist team hosted by NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership. We support all Health Boards/Trusts and hosted organisations in Wales on a range of national enterprise projects.

The Systems Analyst and Developer is a technical specialist role responsible for designing, building, testing and providing support for a number of business application systems. The post holder will be responsible for using good industry practices and specialist tools to enhance and extend the national Oracle ERP system, the suite of Business Intelligent Reporting Systems (for instance QlikView, Oracle Apex and raw SQL queries), and the OCR Document Management scanning system.

This post demands a range of skills, including advanced technical knowledge, problem solving and analytical skills, development skills, experience of developing Business Intelligence reporting applications, web applications and data marts and data warehouse management.

You will ideally be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience and have worked in a structured and disciplined support department, delivering services based on industry good practices. Excellent presentation and communication skills are needed to present data and information in a clear, understandable manner both verbally and in written form.
