Role Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the Technical Project Manager to review/clarify the Functional Specification for technical requirements.
  • Liaise with the TPM, to allocate resource and update the master scheduler.
  • Ensure delivery of designated work packages in line with project plans and commitments.
  • Carry out technical/programming QA activities.
  • Responsible for developing your team in terms of identifying and resolving performance issues, and identifying training and coaching needs.
  • Conduct Performance Reviews and feedback sessions for members of team
  • Responsible for discipline and behaviour of your team, such as time keeping, adherence to company policies and procedures, and communication with the rest of the team.
  • Responsible for briefing your team routinely and establishing regular formal as well as informal communication channels.
  • Provide Input into recruitment and interviewing
  • Manage customer technical queries through approved mechanisms.

Your experience will include:

Background and knowledge of the following:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or an equivalent qualification in another technical field.
  • Seven years plus development experience
  • Approx. 5 years' experience of project leading in an IT environment.
  • Personally, effective withthe ability to build effective working relationships with team members
  • Background and knowledge of the following:

    • SQL and RDBMS design
    • Enterprise Java
    • Design and development of high performance code in Java in a multi-core environment
    • Knowledge of Java Application Servers
