User Experience Designer
This role will involve working closely with the Editorial technology team to design the user experience of a content creation tool tailored to the newsroom that delivers on the journalists needs, streamlined workflows and actionable data. Currently the CMS is a 3rd party tool configured by a handful of specialist developers in the company and one in which digital and print workflows are tightly coupled - our objective is to optimise digital production and find more efficient ways of working.
You will need to have a proven track record in leading UX in digital product, working as part of a cross discipline, agile team and be an expert in human centred design thinking you will lead the design research, while working closely with stakeholders and internal users to deeply understand their needs and synthesise findings with the rest of the team and the ability to balance customer needs with business goals and be an innovative, problem solver with an eye for detail and accuracy.
You will need to have at least 5 year's experience in UCD, product design, or user experience design role, have an excellent organisational and presentational skill and be proficient to expert in relevant software such as Sketch, Invision, Marvel or balsamic and experience working with information, Sass or data platforms is preferred.
