Our client is a specialist manufacturer of highly innovative and bespoke products and solutions for the defence, security and safety markets. Due to continued growth, they now wish to appoint a Project Engineer.
This is an exciting and exceptional opportunity for a Project Engineer who is either be a graduate with a mechanical engineering degree, or qualified to ONC/HNC level or City & Guilds T4 or T6 in Mechanical Engineering.
You will have a good understanding of Mechanical Engineering principles and the ability to apply them in an analytical and methodical approach.
You will possess a good level of computer literacy, be proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel and Word. Knowledge of Solidwords Solid Modelling would be an advantage.
You will be flexible, adaptable to a range of working methods and processes, be well organised, able to communicate technical and practical concepts and be a team player.
The Project Engineer will be responsible for:
Compiling, monitoring and updating project plans and status reports and project engineering and procurement project files.
Providing technical and administrative support for specific projects and for drawing and parts list release and modification.
Technical support during the procurement, build and test phases of specific projects.
Generating project procurement lists, raising project RFQ's and purchase orders.
Monitoring and actively progressing the project procurement process.
Receiving project deliveries, goods inwards approval and assignment to the relevant project.
Undertaking associated project duties as requested by Senior Management.
