Our client has just launched their new Corporate strategy, growing their organisation and working tirelessly towards solving the housing crisis.

They are currently seeking a Senior Management Accountant to join their team. The main purpose of this role is to lead on producing the management account reports for the Executive Team and Board as well as financial reporting for Directorate OpCo?s. You?ll also produce statutory accounts for the group and subsidiaries and play a key role in the implementation of a new financial management system.

Within this role your main responsibilities will include working with the Head of Financial Reporting to produce a monthly consolidated group management accounts report; producing accurate and timely cash flow information for the Treasury Accountant, continuously reviewing the systems for capturing this information and providing the Heads of Service with appropriate financial information to enable them to fully understand the costs and value of their services. You will also be expected to develop an appropriate financial reporting mechanism to effectively manage the exposure to risk from marketing sale development and other new areas of business; managing the Business Support Team and Payroll Administrator effectively, ensuring that its team members are motivated and providing consistently brilliant service. You will also work as part of the project team implementing the new financial management system which is intended to deliver exceptional financial reporting across the business.

The successful candidate will be an innovative, analytical problem solver who is positive, approachable, helpful, honest and resilient and has the ability to present financial information effectively. You?ll be a skilled communicator who can work under pressure and prioritise workloads to deliver an efficient service. You must hold a recognised accountancy qualification (CCAB, ACCA or CIMA) and it would be advantageous for you to hold a management or leadership qualification.

It is essential that you have experience of providing financial support to managers and budget holders along with experience of leading or managing teams. Project management skills or experience of implementing new finance systems would be beneficial.
