My client is looking for a Financial Controller to join their expanding company. This is a new role within a well established company which will provide the right individual with the opportunity to progress their career in an innovative and exciting environment in which new ideas and ambition are both welcomed and rewarded!
The duties of this position will include (but are not limited to);
Assisting the Managing Director to develop company strategy, management of the company, including new markets, customers, business ventures, mergers etc.
Ensure that all financial information is compiled in manner, work with the Company's auditors and briefing them, the shareholders and board where appropriate.
Ensure that the funding needs of the business are planned and controlled, review all taxation matters affecting the company and minimise the effect where appropriate.
Prepare company budgets, management accounts, forecasts and statistics as required together with preparation of Year End Accounts.
Be responsible and actively involved with the daily invoicing and collating of data to provide reports and advise methods of streamlining if necessary.
Manage the company's entire asset register.
In order to fulfil the requirements for this role, you must have the following;
Experience with SAGE accounting software
AAT/CIMA/ACCA certifications would be beneficial
Previous experience of working with the Construction industry would be highly advantageous but not essential
