An international leader in electronic and information technologies is currently looking for a Senior Antenna Engineer based in their Edinburgh site.
We are currently expanding our antenna engineering group and are looking for a Senior Antenna Engineer with experience in antenna design and measurement, as well as a good working knowledge of Matlab or other similar coding languages. You will work closely within multidisciplinary integrated project teams to provide technical support in the design and development of RF antenna solutions to unique and challenging problems.

The successful candidate will:
*Undertake the detailed design and development of antenna/radome and microwave components, systems and subsystems, together with their associated electrical, mechanical and functional interfaces.
*Be responsible for supporting the design of novel antenna solutions using a combination of in-house Matlab codes and commercially available prediction software such as CST Microwave Studio.
*Be included in technical support to manufacture, as well as involvement in test, calibration and validation activities.
*Contribute to the technical assessment of system or subsystem design to ensure compatibility with overall system performance, as well as investigating design options and where appropriate, make detailed proposals for preferred design solutions which are compatible with project design, timescales and cost objectives.
*Carry out design activities in accordance with project and company procedures, including all necessary reporting of technical and timescale progress and achievements through your line manager.

The Senior Antenna Engineer will work efficiently and report regularly on task progress, while being able to provide technical assistance and guidance, whilst promoting best practice and process improvement. They should be comfortable presenting results and designs either through written reports or aural presentations to internal and external audiences.

*Preferably you will be degree educated or equivalent in a mathematical, engineering or suitable science based subject.
*A working knowledge of CST Microwave Studio or a similar EM modelling tool would be advantageous.
*The role may require travel to other locations within the UK and possibly overseas for periodic engineering and programme meetings.
*You will be involved in various stages of subsystem development from the concept stage through hardware design, development, manufacture and design proving and measurement.
