Financial Controller: An ambitious and proactive ACMA / CIMA qualified Accountant or Management Accountant is required to lead a small, dynamic Finance team for one of the UK's leading suppliers of niche consumable products to the heating and plumbing industry.

The successful Financial Controller will be experienced in forecasting, analysis and budget control preferably within a product rather than service environment. The ideal candidate will be completely at home preparing consolidated Management Accounts and have a strong desire to move their career forward with an established and innovative company as it continues to build on recent sustained growth.

Applications are welcomed equally from both time served Finance Managers and Financial Controllers looking for a position that offers a career path towards a Director level role.

Responsibilities:
- Preparation of consolidated management accounts
- Preparation of weekly P&L estimates and other KPI's
- Management and preparation of the short and long term cash flow projections, including foreign currency projections and purchases.
- Management of the cash flow so that the business operates within the banking covenants.
- Management of product costings and stock valuation.
- Responsible for the stock checks and ensuring it is organised correctly and is accurate.
- Preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
- Responsible for the business systems and processes so as to maximise the efficiency within the business.
- In conjunction with our outsourced HR provider ensuring that HR issues are dealt with and that we remain legally compliant.
- Responsible for managing the weekly and monthly payroll.
- Management of two finance staff and ensuring the development of them in line with requirements.

Skills and Experience:
- ACMA / CIMA qualified Accountant or Management Accountant
- Experienced in preparing consolidated management accounts including the narrative to support the numbers.
- Experienced in stock management and costings.
- Experience of working within a distribution type of environment (desirable).
- Experienced in preparing and managing cash flows
- Proven ability at improving systems and processes to improve the business efficiency.
- Experience of managing IT or at least of implementing IT systems (desirable).
- A willingness to develop the finance colleagues.
- An ability to proactively challenge others within the business in a constructive manner.
- Presentable and comfortable working with the Directors to take the business to the next level.
