C#/.Net Developer with strong SQL skills (version 2008 2014) is required on a 4 6 month contract in Oxfordshire.

Scope of Work

Working on a large ICT Transformation implementing full Microsoft stack you will be tasked with taking a legacy codebase with no documentation, analysing it and migrating it to a new platform.

The Developer

You will be an experienced developer exposed to a broad range of RDBMS/web projects, comfortable working with older technologies.

Your Technology experience

SQL Server 2008 -2014 particularly with the following:
SQL & T-SQL (experience writing functions & procedures, knowledge of cursors)
Warehousing, ETL and experience of modern data platforms (noSql, Big Data)
Able to interpret stored procedures
Database creation via SqlServer Management Studio
General database management via SSMS

Visual Studio Development (ideally 2015) including C#/.Net, ASP, ASP.Net, JavaScript, VBScript &
web services

IIS (preferably IIS 8) including Creation & management of web apps, understanding of application pooling and understanding of IIS logging.

Experience of any of the following would be beneficial:

Debugging ASP as well as ASP.Net server side
Client side debugging in IE
Crystal Reports
Business Objects
SqlServer Migration Assistant
subversion/VSS/TFS
Visual Studio data projects (SSDT)
Visual Studio setup/installer projects
Data tier applications (dacpacs)
