Head of PHP Development Team - £50,000 to £60,000 plus benefits
An innovative software house in Wokingham is seeking a new Head of PHP Development / Principal PHP Developer to take ownership of the web development and backend platforms that underpin their award-winning software products. They are already very successful, but looking for someone to lead the new development and future-proofing of their solutions - both from a strategic and a hands-on technical perspective.
You will manage a small team of PHP Developers, but work very closely and collaboratively with other development teams, departments and senior stakeholders across the business. You will lead the design, influence the technology stack, select the tools and take a hands-on role in the coding of their web & backend platforms. This is a very friendly, creative and collaborative environment with a flat structure where you will form part of the technolgy leadership team in a business critical role.
As the successful canddiate you must have:
- A strong track record as a Senior / Lead / Principal PHP Developer (Experience of PHP 7 an advantage)
- Experience of managing other PHP developers - leading activity, design and development
- Experience with MySQL or similar databases
- A background in creative, product design and development
- A collaborative approach to all problems and product delivery
You will be rewarded with an excellent basic salary of circa £50,000 - £60,000 plus benefits and the chance to own the design and delivery of industry leading software products.
