T-SQL Applications Developer
My Burnley based IT client are looking for a T-SQL applications developer to join an existing development team to help build next generation applications providing the best management software in their field.
They are re-platforming and expanding existing applications to platforms on their journey to a SaaS based model
My client are a software development company who specialise in developing management software in a SaaS model to improve the lives of children. The company are fast growing with some fantastic new offices which include free car parking, free on-site gym, regular training opportunities and social events.
As a T-SQL applications developer you will have a chance to continually develop your abilities with new technologies and opportunities to grow your career with a rapidly expanding company.
In addition to day to day design and development you will be working on initiatives such as upgrading application frameworks, refactoring complex logic for a SaaS based model and automation testing.
The company are looking to move towards DevOps and this will ensure exposure to DBA activities such as moving from hosted servers to Amazon, performance tuning and platform scaling.
As the T-SQL applications developer you will need:
Proficiency in MS SQL Server development
Comfortable with complex T-SQL stored procedures
Confident in the use of Scripts, Functions, Views, Triggers etc.
MS SQL Server experience (ideally 2008r2, 2012 7 2014)
Experience of developing business application logic
The development environment is TDD/BDD so experience or exposure to this is needed.
Full understanding of full SDLC
The desirable skills are:
Proficient in MS SQL Server Management Studio
Scripting/automation (eg VB, Powershell, Unix, Selenium)
Use of Version control with either svn or another tool
VB.Net development skills
Automation testing processes
Familiarity in use of RESTAPI's & Postgres DB
MS SQL DBA Exposure
Working for this IT Company based in Burnley you will have a salary package of £30-40,000 + an excellent benefits package which includes 24 days holiday + Bank Holidays which increase with service
