Information Security Consultant

Canary Wharf area - London

£35-£45k

Permanent

We are looking for an Information Security Consultant to work in a well-established business based in Canary Wharf who specialise in global Cargo and Logistics.

The Information Security Consultant will be working with the IT security team to develop and implement a comprehensive information security program that is aligned with global policies. The holder of this role will be required to make recommendations for investment in security solutions. This role will not have investment approval authority.

Role includes;

  • Defining regional security policies,
  • Processes and standards.
  • Deploy technical controls to meet specific security requirements
  • Defines processes and standards to ensure that security configurations are maintained.


As part your responsibilities you will also be involved with;

  • Coordination and completion of information security operations documentation.
  • Working with information security leadership to develop strategies and plans to enforce security requirements and address identified security risks.
  • Raise information security awareness and develop training plans working with other IT teams.
  • Monitoring daily or weekly security reports and logs for unusual events and creating action plan to follow up on the findings.
  • Collaborate on IT projects to ensure that security issues are addressed throughout the project life cycle.


If you have any of the relevant skills below we want to hear from you;

  • Experience in developing, documenting and maintaining security policies, processes, procedures and standards.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and the associated network protocols and concepts.
  • Technical certification such as CESG Certified Professional (CCP), CompTIA Security+ Certification, ISC2 Systems Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or Cisco Cyber Security Specialist
  • Knowledge of and experience in developing and documenting security architecture and plans, including strategic, tactical and project plans.
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of project management.
  • In-depth knowledge of risk assessment methods and technologies.
  • performing risk, and vulnerability assessments.
