Risk Manager/ Glasgow/ Initial 6 Month Contract/ £39.57LTD Per Hour

My client is a well respected defence engineering organisation who is currently experiencing an ongoing period of growth and success. Due to an ever increasing workload, they are currently looking to recruit a Risk Manager to join their dedicated team of Glasgow based professionals. The role is for an initial 6 month duration and is paying a rate of £39.57Ltd Per Hour. Please find the role description below:

Purpose of role:

Responsible for managing Risk and Opportunities on the Programme. Implementing and maintaining the Risk and Opportunities Management Plan including the Risk Register and leading on the analysis of the Risks and Opportunities to provide a fair view of the projects position.

Key Technical Skills
1. Strong organisational and communication skills.
2. Strong Project Management skills.
3. Ability to exploit capabilities already available within the business and other domains.
4. Theoretical and practical experience of project management tools and techniques.

Top 5 Major Tasks and Activities:

1.Develop, Implement and maintain the Risk and Opportunities Management Plan and the associated processes. Monitor its adherence, identify conflicts and issues and resolve where possible.
2.Maintain the Risk and Opportunities register in ARM.
3.Co-ordinate, provide source data and participate in the Risk and Opportunities review meetings.
4.In conjunction with the EV Manager conduct Cost Risk Analysis and maintain a CRA position.
5.In conjunction with the Planning Engineer conduct Schedule Risk Analysis and maintain a SRA position.

Additional Key Accountabilities:
1.Ensure compliance with Corporate Governance, Lifecycle Management Framework and Business Management System.
2.Work jointly with the Customer to implement the Risk & Opportunity Plan & Process
3.Prepare, and represent the team at Customer meetings concerning, risk management, and contract assumptions, exclusions and dependencies.
4.Determine the need for Risk Management training of project personnel and arrange for its delivery.
5.Generate the required Risk & Opportunity reports and statistics & where appropriate present them to Senior Management both internally & to the Customer.
6.Liaison with the Surface Ship Solutions Quality Assurance organisation, to ensure that the processes described Project Risk & Opportunity Management plan is adequately audited and the outcomes acted upon.
