A leading Global Insurance Group with a Lloyd's Market presence are currently recruiting for a Syndicate Compliance Assistant to work in the London City office. Reporting to the Compliance Officer, this role provides support to the Syndicate Monitoring and Compliance functions in a wide variety of areas.

Providing support to the Syndicate Monitoring Function including updating of independent review log, overseeing the allocation of underwriting and claims reviews, production and analysis of underwriting exception reports;
Maintaining papers and minutes for the Syndicate Monitoring Function meetings and underwriting, claims and reinsurance independent review meetings;
Monthly reporting to the Executive Committee on the Syndicate Monitoring Function;
Assisting the Compliance Officer with the quarterly risk and control sign-off process;
Performing and overseeing pre-bind quality assurance checks;
Performing and overseeing the internal Sanctions Screening process and having administrator responsibility for the sanctions tool used by the company;
Assisting with the administration of the underwriter authorities/ scratch documentation;
Recording, monitoring and notifying deadlines using the compliance task monitoring tool;
Maintaining the complaints register and ensuring that all relevant Complaints notifications, documentation requests and queries are handled efficiently and in line with the Lloyd's Complaints Code;
Assisting the Assistant Compliance Officer in the implementation of the Conduct Risk compliance programme;
Assisting with the compliance reporting for Corporate Members
Maintaining all central schedules relating to Business Partners i.e brokers, outsourcing, TPAs;
Assisting with the effective operation of the Business Partners Committee and being the chief point of contact for new broker applications;
Assisting the Compliance Officer with a wide range of compliance function responsibilities and compliance returns - both ad-hoc and recurring tasks;
Overseeing and monitoring the completion of annual Compliance returns by all employees (conflicts of interest/ financial crime).

Experience Required
Knowledge of the Lloyd's Market and in particular Lloyd's Minimum Standards would be an advantage
Knowledge of SharePoint would be an advantage but not essential
Experience of work in a similar role (2 years' experience within a Lloyd's managing agent ideally)
