£40,000 - £45,000 + Pension + Benefits

Job Description

Industrial Controls Engineer with a product specific focus for on-time delivery of new products.

Responsibilities

Understanding of EPLAN electrical P8 & pneumatic design and documentation within a project.

Releasing standard and locally procured products for projects

Programming of internal and external devices including PLC's, HMI's, servo drives, and robots

Understanding and applying customer's electrical specifications / communication protocols

Supporting service resources to identify root cause and corrective action plans as required

Perform acceptance testing of products and projects to industry standard techniques

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Automation Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university or minimum 3 years related experience and/or training.

Experience Requirements

PLC programming languages [Structured Text, Ladder Logic, Function Block] especially within IEC 61131-3 editor

HMI design and implementation [WinCC Flexible, RSView, CoDeSys Visualization]

Industrial fieldbus communication standards [ProfiNet, EtherNET/IP, DeviceNET, Modbus, IO-Link]

Fluid power systems design and allocation [Pneumatic, Hydraulic - load and component selection]

Robot programming experience preferred [Fanuc, Kawasaki, Janome, ABB, Kuka, etc]

Personality Requirements

A team player and broad minded engineer with penchant for problem solving and decreasing waste. Open to limited travel to local customers and global engineering centers. Willing to review the entire electro-mechanical system as a whole and understand the value and basic function of each piece.
