Manufacturing company based in Telford is looking to recruit a Process Engineer for their busy Injection Moulding Department - Day shift

Duties include: procuring, installing and risk assessing all new machinery to company and legislation requirements including the introduction of new tooling whilst managing any outside contractors used accordingly. You will deliver and improve products and processes through the use of process flow. You will set the correct level of process control through the use of Process Flow ,P-FMEA, Control Plans and SQA net, checking the processes as you go. Plans will be put in place to reduce leak and scrap tolerances - leak, scrap, operational and ratio target achievements will be monitored.

The ideal candidate needs to have engineering experience, capacity planning, NPI
Have had experience of machine and auxiliary specification, layouts and procurement - dealing with external toolmakers
Part of role is procurement of robot heads and machine capacity scheduling.

You will maintain production within the factory layout for maximum capacity, organise net time improvement plans and
create detail specifications for machinery ensuring standardisation and compliance within any given section.

Ypu will assess the impact of ECI / PCI to process and implement changes ensuring the relevant test requirements are met.
Project manage the introduction of new materials / suppliers.

It is important that you support and coach other engineers, mentor members of the manufacturing teams whilst keeping constant communications between all departments.

Skills & Experience

Degree / HND in a relevant discipline - 5 years Production engineering experience
Demonstrate experience of long term planning & cost savings - machine & auxilliary specification,layouts and procurement
Experience of Process design, machine capacity design and defining process control
Be numerical / analytical - understanding of project management tools, capacity planning and materials flow
Risk management / Assessment

Engineering based degree - experience of working to automotive manufacturing standards

Located in Telford this position is commutable from Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton, Cannock, Willenhall and surrounds
