Docherty Group is a UK manufacturer and distributor of flues, chimneys, multi-fuel stoves and heating appliances ? delivering quality since 1960

We are looking for an extremely motivated and highly ambitious Manager who is passionate about their work and can develop and grow within the role.

Responsibilities and key skills include:

  • Daily operational running of a branch
  • Managing your team, external relationships and liaising with other key managers within the Group
  • The use of Information Technology to analyse and inform decisions
  • Develop in depth product and market knowledge
  • Logistics management within a warehouse environment
  • Health & Safety awareness & management
  • Forecasting budgets for the branch & achieving targets
  • Dealing with both B2B and B2C operations, liaising with key suppliers
  • Collecting customer feedback and market research
  • Monitoring performance and implementing a continual improvement mentality

Remuneration £27k to £31k per annum with earnings potential of £10k

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years? experience running a similar operation within a managerial role
  • Proven experience of people management & development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and delegate
  • Excellent IT skills (SAP Business One preferable)
  • Ability to work under pressure, a team player and being flexible to suit the needs of the team and business
  • A full and clean driving licence
